About the Board
Our Leadership & Governance Team
The PBH Foundation Board is a diverse group of dedicated volunteers who guide our nonprofit’s strategic vision, ensure strong governance, and leverage their expertise to expand access to mental health services across Alaska. Our board members bring backgrounds in clinical care, finance, law, fundraising, and community engagement—all united by the shared goal of breaking barriers to mental health.

Together, we set organizational policies, steward resources responsibly, and cultivate partnerships that amplify our impact. Each member commits to quarterly meetings, committee work, and active participation in events and advocacy, ensuring the Foundation remains agile, transparent, and mission‑driven.

Our Story
Founded on March 1, 2025, PBH Foundation began with a core vision to break down barriers to mental health access across Alaska. Key early milestones include:

-
March 1, 2025: PBH Foundation legally established and inaugural board charter executed.
-
April 2, 2025: Received IRS determination of 501(c)(3) tax‑exempt status.
-
April 2, 2025: Convened our first informal board meeting to launch grant program planning.
-
April 2025: Submitted a Partnership Grant application aimed at securing vehicles to support both individual mobility and agency transportation initiatives.
-
Mid‑April 2025: Awarded our first Access to Care Grant—$6,462.62 in session subsidies, plus coverage of approximately $200 per session balances for a high‑acuity trauma client.

From those first steps—securing our nonprofit status, convening as a governance body, delivering direct financial relief for therapy access, and pursuing transportation resources—our board has demonstrated a hands‑on commitment to practical, community‑rooted solutions. As we continue to grow, these foundational achievements guide our focus on equitable, person‑centered impact across Alaska.
